Resilience

Ego Resilience: Ego resilience is an individual's dynamic capacity to modify their level of control in response to different environmental contexts. This capacity allows for the adjustment of one's reaction and perception to meet situational demands, enabling flexible adaptation to changing circumstances. High ego resilience indicates a person's resourcefulness in adapting to novel situations, characterized by a versatile set of cognitive and social procedures for adaptation, and quick recovery from stress. Psychological Resilience: Psychological resilience, on the other hand, is defined as a positive personality characteristic that enhances individual adaptation. It is conceptualized as the ability or capacity to successfully cope with adversity, stress, or trauma. Psychological resilience is multi-dimensional, encompassing traits such as equanimity, perseverance, self-reliance, meaningfulness, and existential aloneness, which contribute to an individual's ability to withstand and recover from difficult situations.
